ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ
Theognis was probably born at the end of the 3rd century. He was an adherent of Arianism and bishop of Nicaea during the first half of the 4th century. He took part in the First Ecumenical Council on the side of Eusebius of Nikomedeia. He signed the Creed without the anathemas against Arius. He was exiled for three years and afterwards he fiercely fought for the prevalence of Arianism. He died after 342. |
